Cheerleaders 9 has been released! You can buy the comic through the DOFantasy store. At €24.95, it’s about 20% higher than the usual price, but is about 50% longer than the usual length — which means it’s a bargain.
There are several firsts in this comic: my first sixty-page comic, Assbuster without his ponytail, Dogface without his bandana, and women mostly in sneakers instead of high heels.
It has turned out to be one of the most challenging comics for me to draw because of the length as well as the number of new characters in the story. In the middle of making this comic I also spent quite some time getting my website started and running and that was also a major endeavor in itself.
Part of the reason it took so long to make this sequel was I really wasn’t sure how I was going to pick up where Cheerleaders 8 left off. It’s been over two years since that comic so I figured it was appropriate to make this sequel longer than usual to make up for the gap. I also wanted to cover a lot of ground story-wise without making the juicy parts seem rushed.
In large part this comic goes back to the Cheerleaders series core, but with a new set of girls for the remainder of the old gang to train (minus Bob, bless his soul).
I know it’s been a long wait for fans of the Cheerleaders series and I do hope it was worth it.
